When the vaginal muscles contract or spasm when something enters the vagina, it is called vaginismus in women. Especially, it is a painful condition for the woman during sexual intercourse. Whenever penetration is attempted the vaginal muscles will tighten and intercourse will become painful.

Generally, there are two types of Vaginismus in women:-

1. Primary: The primary stage of vaginismus is very difficult when a woman experiences pain every time something enters her vagina, including the penis. This condition is also called penetrative sexual intercourse for the woman.
